How to Log Out of a Mail Account on an iPhone
By Brandy Alexander
If you have multiple email accounts on your iPhone, such as Yahoo and Gmail, logging out of a particular account may be confusing since the iOS does not make logging out evident. The Mail app, for example, doesn't offer a logout option in the event that you no longer want to receive messages for a particular email address on your device. To perform this task, instead use the Settings feature.
Step 1
Tap "Settings" on the home screen, and then tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" to display all the email accounts you currently have installed on your iPhone.
Step 2
Click the mail account you want to modify.
Step 3
Swipe the "Mail" menu slider to the "Off" position to log out, and then tap the "Done" button. If you want to completely erase the account from your iPhone, tap the "Delete Account" button.
