Microsoft Outlook 2010 permits you to add email accounts to Outlook 2010. You can then send and receive emails directly from the Outlook 2010 user interface. Rather than logging in to your Hotmail account with a Web browser, you can use Outlook 2010 to access your Hotmail account. You must first install the Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector before you can add your Hotmail account to Outlook 2010.
Download the Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector from Microsoft.com. After downloading the software, click "Open" and accept the license agreement to install the application on your computer.
Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Microsoft Office." Click "Microsoft Outlook 2010."
Click the "File" tab on the top of the Outlook 2010 window, then click "Info."
Click the "Add Account" button.
Click on the radio button next to "E-mail Account."
Input the name associated with your Hotmail account into the "Your Name" field.
Input your Hotmail email address into the "E-mail Address" field.
Type your Hotmail account password into the "Password" field and then re-enter it in the "Retype Password" field for verification.
Click "Next" to add your Hotmail account to Outlook 2010. Click "Close."
Click the "Home" tab at the top of the Outlook 2010 window. Select your Hotmail account from the left side of the Outlook 2010 window to automatically log on to your email account.
