Linksys makes it possible to set up your wireless router and to modify its settings whenever you want. Find specific information about your wireless network and settings with the Linksys web-based setup page. This interface will allow you to view your router data, change your router's security mode and password or apply certain restrictions to your network. You can also use the web-based interface to find out your Linksys Service Set Identifier (SSID).

Step 1

Open the Linksys web-based setup page at "192.168.1.1". Enter this number (without quotes) into the URL bar of your Internet browser window.

Step 2

Type "admin" (without quotes) into the "Password" field of the prompt that opens. Leave the "Username" field blank. Press the "OK" button. Enter your personal login username and password if you changed this information from the default username and password provided by Linksys.

Step 3

Click on the "Wireless" tab toward the top of the page that loads.

Step 4

Locate the "Wireless Network Name (SSID)" field. It is under the "Wireless Network Mode" field. This displays your SSID.
