SanDisk's Sansa MP3 players can store up to 8 gigabytes of music on the device, giving you many hours of listening enjoyment. If that sizable internal memory is not enough, you can increase the player's storage capacity by plugging in a microSD memory card. Both the internal memory and the microSD card are accessible via Windows when the player is connected to your computer. This allows you to load your Sansa MP3 player with music whenever you wish.

Step 1

Align the metal contacts on the microSD card with the card slot on the bottom right edge of your Sansa MP3 player. The metallic contacts on the card should point away from you. Push the card snugly into the slot.

Step 2

Turn on the Sansa MP3 player and connect it to your computer using the USB cable supplied with the device. Wait a few seconds for Windows 7 to recognize the player. No drivers are required.

Step 3

Click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer" on the pop-up window that appears once Windows recognizes the Sansa player.

Step 4

Locate your music files in Windows Explorer and select them. You can select multiple MP3 files by holding down the "Ctrl" key and clicking on multiple files.

Step 5

Press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys at the same time to copy the selected MP3 files to the Windows clipboard.

Step 6

Click "Computer" on the left panel and double-click the drive letter that corresponds to your Sansa MP3 player on the right panel. Double-click "External USB Card."

Step 7

Press the "Ctrl" and "V" keys at the same time to copy the selected music files to the MicroSD card connected to your Sansa MP3 player.

Step 8

Right-click the Sansa drive letter and select "Eject." Disconnect the Sansa MP3 player from the computer and enjoy your music.
