How to Find My Kindle Serial Number
By Johnathan Micah
The Amazon Kindle is a portable e-book device. It features wireless capabilities that allow its users to download e-books, newspapers, magazines and other digital content. In order to download e-books and other content, the Kindle must first be registered with its serial number. The Kindle's serial number is printed on the outside of the Kindle box; if the box is missing, it is also accessible from within the Kindle's "Settings" menu.
Step 1
Turn on your Kindle device and wait for it to power up. Press the "Home" button.
Step 2
Press the "Menu" button. Use the Kindle's five-way controller button to underline the "Settings" item on the screen. Press the controller to enter the "Settings" menu.
Step 3
Check the bottom of the screen for the serial number. Your Kindle's serial number begins with "B00" and is 16 digits long.
