How to Join a Webinar

Webinars provide a way for people all over the world to get together and discuss a topic without everyone having to travel. There are many webinar companies that offer features such as calling into the webinar, giving participants the option to talk or just listen, uploading files to the webinar, sharing desktops, accessing the webinar online with a microphone and using a whiteboard. Companies use webinars in a variety of ways to collaborate and communicate on the go.

Open the email you received from the person coordinating the webinar. There should be instructions included along with the time and your role in the webinar.

Access the website where you are expected to participate in the webinar. You may need a microphone to speak during the webinar, and you should have your speakers on in case computer sound will be used. If the email includes a passcode, password or PIN with the website, enter this information to access the webinar.

Call the phone number included in your email. If you will be using the phone to speak and listen a phone number and PIN will be provided by the coordinator. Follow the prompts to enter the webinar.
