How to Install a SoundMax Audio Driver

by Martin Woodfield

Though not a major factor in the performance of your computer, malfunctioning or absent SoundMax audio drivers can cause audio problems and a variety of annoying error messages. To remedy such issues, you need to remove the old driver, then download and install an updated SoundMax audio driver.

Open your browser, go to the Cnet Download website where you can download the SoundMax Audio Driver (see Resources).

Click the blue "Download Now" link.

Click "OK" to save the file to your computer.

Double-click on the "SoundMax Audio Diver" icon and follow the prompts.

Restart your computer to finish the installation process. When the computer reboots, the process is done and the driver is active.
