How to Install PfSense on CentOS

PfSense is a firewall application used with routers for Linux-based operating systems. The software is commonly deployed as a perimeter firewall, router, wireless access point, DNS server and as a VPN endpoint. Install the pfSense software through the computer's graphical user interface.
Step 1
Click on the pfSense ISO image icon on the desktop. If you haven’t downloaded it, you can find the program online as a free download.
Step 2
Click Accept These Settings in the main menu. Choose your disk from the list of hard drives installed on your computer.
Step 3
Click Format this disk and wait for the disk to format. Select Use this Geometry and then click the Format Disk icon.
Step 4
Follow the on-screen wizard prompts to accept and install bootblocks.
Step 5
Choose your primary partition from the next window and then click the OK button. Select Accept and Create and wait for the software to execute the commands. Click the Reboot option to restart your computer and complete the installation.

- When download pfSense, choose the "LiveCD with installer" option from the list of available download files.
