How to Install the MCrypt Extension in Plesk

Mcrypt is a placement command for the UNIX crypt command. The crypt command is used to encrypt files in an algorithm that dates back to World War II. If you would like to install the Mcrypt command software to your Plesk operating system, you can do it with just a few commands in your server’s terminal.
Step 1
Log into your Plesk server as an administrator.
Step 2
Click on the “Terminal” icon from the “Applications” folder.
Step 3
Type “sudo apt-get install php5-mcrypt” and press the “Enter” button.
Step 4
Wait for the software to install on the server.
Step 5
Restart the server to complete the installation.
