How to Install the Logitech X-230
By Brendan O'Brien
The Logitech X-230 Speaker System is a basic audio device that enhances the sound quality of your system. The speaker system consists of two speakers and a subwoofer. Depending how your computer is arranged on your desktop, you will want to adjust the exact positioning of the two speakers and the subwoofer. Setting up the speaker system takes about 10 minutes.
Place each of the speakers on either side of your monitor. The right speaker has the controls on it, so place it in a location where you can adjust the settings if needed.
Put the subwoofer on the ground. Make sure there is at least 6 inches of free space around the subwoofer.
Connect the D-sub plug from the right speaker to the back of the subwoofer. Slide the connection over the metal male piece on the subwoofer. Make sure the pins are aligned. Fasten each screw on either side of the plug.
Plug the green input cable into the female speaker slot on the back of your computer tower. Most of the time, this speaker slot is coded with the same green as the end of the input cable.
Plug the subwoofer into an outlet. Press "Power/Standby" on the right speaker. The button is the one to the far right.
