With a Google account, you can choose from a variety of features in addition to just the standard search engine. One of these features is the Google Toolbar. Created for use with Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Mozilla's Firefox, the Toolbar allows you to use the Google search engine from any Web page. Similar to Google's main page, the Toolbar will hold your search history. While you can delete all of the search history at one time, you may also delete individual items from the Google Toolbar history by following a few steps.

Step 1

Log into your Google account. Click the "My Account" link. Depending on the type of browser you are using, you may have to click the "Settings" drop-down menu and select the "Google Account Settings" option.

Step 2

Click the "Remove Items" link. This will take you to a page that will allow you to select individual items to remove. If the "Remove Items" link is missing, click "Web History." This will navigate you to the same page.

Click the box next to each search item you want to remove. Click "Remove" to delete the selected items from the Google Toolbar history.
