How to Import a Song on Wavepad
By Maya Austen
WavePad is a professional audio recording and editing application developed by NCH Software. While there is a Windows and Mac version of this application, the user interface for both versions is the same. WavePad supports a variety of audio file formats, including .wav, real audio, .flac, ogg, vox, .gsm, .mp3 and .mp4 files that are not protected by digital rights management, or DRM, encryption.
Step 1
Launch the WavePad application. Go to the “Home” tab.
Step 2
Load the CD containing the song you want to import into WavePad into the computer’s CD drive, if applicable. Or plug the flash drive containing the song you want to import into WavePad into one of the computer’s unused USB port, if applicable. If the audio file you want to import is saved on the computer’s hard drive, skip this step.
Step 3
Click the “Open File” button. Open the “Look in” drop-down menu.
Step 4
Browse to the directory location where the file you want to import into WavePad is stored.
Step 5
Click on the audio song file to select it. Click “Open.” WavePad will import the file.
