How to Import a SIM Card to a TracFone

by James Melzer

SIM cards are like mini hard drives for your cell phone and are used to store information. Like all computer chips, though, they are limited in their capacity and can get full. In that case it is necessary to import the information on the SIM card to the cell phone's internal memory to free up space. This allows you to continue to store information on the SIM card without having to delete a contact, thus losing it forever.

1

Press the left soft key for "Menu" while the Tracfone is in standby mode.

2

Choose "Contacts" followed by "Contact Settings."

4

Press the left soft key to copy all the contacts from SIM card to TracFone.
