How to Import Primavera Into a Microsoft Project
By Hollan Johnson
Primavera and Microsoft Project are both project management software products you can use to organize projects in an office environment. Although Primavera uses a different file type than Microsoft Project's .mpp files, you can export Primavera files into the .mpp format. This makes importing Primavera files into Microsoft Project simple.
Open Primavera on your computer and select the files you want to import into Microsoft Project.
Select the "File" menu and click "Export." Choose the version of Microsoft Project into which you want to import the Primavera files from the list and click "Save."
Open Microsoft Project on your computer. Select "Open" from the "File" menu and choose the project into which you want to import the Primavera files. Click "Open."
Click the "Import MPP" button in the menu bar and choose the .mpp file you exported from Primavera. Click "Import."
