How to Unlink Facebook From Yahoo
By Ryan Menezes
Facebook's Yahoo Social Bar records Web content that you discover through Yahoo News and related sites. The app shares your activity with your Facebook friends and also grants you access to your friends' published activity. Yahoo's app aims to foster social interaction, so if you instead use Facebook primarily for business networking, you may want to remove the app. Unlinking the two applications enables you to browse Yahoo sites anonymously, better preserving your privacy.
Log in to Facebook and click the down-arrow beside "Home" in the navigation bar.
Click "Account Settings" to load your settings page.
Click "Apps" in the page's sidebar to display a list of your installed apps.
Click "Yahoo" to expand a pane that lists the Yahoo app's settings.
Click "Remove app" to open a confirmation dialog box.
Click "Remove" to unlink Yahoo from Facebook.
