How to Transfer Photos From a Windows 7 PC to an iPhone

by Lynn Burbeck ; Updated February 10, 2017

The photos you have stored on your Windows 7 computer can be easily transferred to your iPhone -- a function that allows you to take your photo library with you on the go so you can show off the latest family photos or pictures from a recent vacation. By selecting the location and the image folders on your computer that you wish to transfer, you can choose to transfer as few or as many of your photos as you want.

Plug your iPhone into your Windows 7 computer using the USB cord that came with your phone. Your phone must be turned on to be recognized by your computer.

Open iTunes on your computer and wait for the program to load. Your iPhone's name is listed under the "Devices" heading in the left column of your iTunes page.

Click on your device's name to bring up your iTunes synchronization options.

Select "Photos" from the settings menu to select which photos you want to transfer from your computer to your iPhone.

Click on the "Sync Photos" box to open up your synchronization options.

Select whether you want to transfer only photos or photos and videos.

Place a check mark in all of the folders you want to transfer to your iPhone.

Click the "Apply" button in the lower right corner of the page to save your settings and sync your device. Once the synchronization is complete, the selected photos will be available on your iPhone.
