Your company’s Avaya phone system supports an assortment of calling features, including the ability to store voice mails and conduct conference calls with business associates anywhere in the world. The system supports multiple extensions and the ability to transfer calls from one extension to another. The transfer feature even lets you send a call from your office to a cellular, VoIP or landline phone outside of the Avaya phone system.

Press the “Transfer” button while a call is live to put the caller on hold; this button is labeled with an icon depicting two telephone handsets.

Dial the extension number or the number of the cellular or landline telephone to which you want to transfer the call when you hear a dial tone on your handset.

Press the “Transfer” button again to send the call to the other party without announcing who is on the other line. If you'd prefer to announce who is on the line, wait for the other party to answer, announce the caller, then press the “Transfer” button.

Press the “Drop” button if the other party doesn’t answer or doesn't want to accept the call.

Hang up your Avaya handset to complete the call transfer.
