How to Send GIFs Through Skype
By Aurelio Locsin
If you’re used to communicating with your customers via Skype, it may be useful to show an image of the product or service you’re discussing. You can hold up a picture in front of the video camera, but it may appear blurred and is not available for later viewing. Sending your customer a GIF allows him to store a clear image and view it at his leisure.
Click the customer name from the “Contacts” tab if you do not have him online at the time that you want to send the GIF. His page appears.
Click “Send File” at the bottom of the page. A standard dialog box appears.
Navigate to the GIF file that you want to send. Double-click the file name to close the dialog box and upload the file to Skype. The file name appears in the Message box.
Enter a text message explaining why you are sending the file. Then click the “Send” button, which appears as a blue button, to send the message. Your recipient will need to save the file from his Skype application to store the GIF on his hard drive.
