How to Resize on Facebook
By Ryan Menezes
Most images that you upload to your Facebook business page appear on the site in their original size and aspect ratio. The thumbnail photo for your profile picture is an exception. No matter the original picture's dimensions, the thumbnail connected with your posts appears as a square. If the top or bottom of the original contained important content, the thumbnail excludes it. You can resize the thumbnail, scaling the entire image into the square template, to avoid awkward cropping.
Log in to Facebook with an account that has administrative privileges over your business page.
Open your business page. Hover your mouse over the profile image to show text labeled "Edit Profile Picture."
Click the "Edit Profile Picture" link to open a drop-down menu.
Click "Edit Thumbnail" to open the Edit Thumbnail dialog box.
Click the check box labeled "Scale to fit" to resize the image.
Click "Save" to store the resized image.
