How to Reset Viewsonic Monitors
By John Machay
While the 40-plus ViewSonic products differ in price and quality, they all offer you the ability to customize your viewing experience with an array of color, sharpness, contrast, brightness, back light and tint controls. For calibration purposes, oftentimes it's necessary, if not easier, to start from scratch and then adjust your settings to your liking. ViewSonic monitors have button shortcuts and on-screen menus that enable you to return them to their default settings.
Button Shortcut
Press the power button on your ViewSonic monitor to turn off the power.
Locate the plus or up button on the monitor.
Press and hold the plus or up button and the power button simultaneously. Continue pressing both buttons until an on-screen message reading “All reset” appears.
Release both buttons.
On-Screen Menu
Press the “Menu/Enter” button on your ViewSonic monitor to view a list of submenus.
Press the plus or minus button to scroll to the Special submenu.
Press “Menu/Enter” to open the Special submenu.
Press the minus button on your monitor to scroll down to the Reset option, which will appear at the bottom of the options list.
Press “Menu/Enter” to restore your ViewSonic monitor to its default settings.
