How to Report TOS Violations to Facebook
By Julius Vandersteen
When you are using Facebook to do work for your business, you can report TOS violations to the social network’s authorities. Facebook has hundreds of millions of active monthly users, so you may occasionally come across a user who has violated the company’s terms of service. For example, if someone is impersonating you on Facebook, that's a clear TOS violation. When a problem arises, Facebook enables you to quickly report TOS violations.
Launch a Web browser and navigate to the Facebook site’s Help Center page. If your account has been hacked or otherwise compromised, you do not need to be logged in to report a TOS violation.
Click “Report Abuse or Policy Violations” and then click the link for submitting an inquiry about account abuse.
Click the radio button next to the type of violation that you want to report, such as “Someone Is Pretending to Be Me” or “Someone Is Using My Email Address for Their Facebook Account.”
Click the “Please Fill Out This Form” link. Click the radio button next to the type of information that you want to report, and then click the drop-down menu to describe the violation. Click “Send” to report the TOS violation.
