When you hold meetings with business clients or customers, a projector enables everyone in the room to see what you're presenting. Projector screens that have been folded and packed for storage may develop creases or wrinkles. These creases make the screen look unattractive and cause distraction during presentations. Most wrinkles go away on their own after you remount the screen. If several days have passed and the wrinkles remain, you can iron them out yourself.

Take down the projector screen if the wrinkles have not disappeared within 48 hours of hanging. Consult your user manual for specific removal instructions for your screen.

Move the screen outside and lay it down flat in a warm, sunny spot. The warmth softens the screen fabric, allowing creases to fade away.

Allow the screen to sit in the sun for a few hours, then rub the wrinkles with your fingers from the back of the screen. Apply firm pressure and keep rubbing until the wrinkles disappear.

Tips

If you cannot get the wrinkles to fade, contact the screen manufacturer for help. You may need to have the screen professionally repaired or replaced.

You can remove some wrinkles by grasping both sides of a mounted projector screen and tugging the fabric in an outward direction.

Warnings

Don't try to rub out wrinkles from the front of the screen. Doing this may damage the surface.
