How to Remove the Home Screen Clock on an iPhone
By Jane Williams
The iPhone comes pre-installed with numerous apps and features via the iOS, including a clock on your Home Screen. Apple doesn't offer a way to remove this, but you can hide it, and many other pre-installed apps, by downloading a third-party program.
Unlock your iPhone, and open Safari. Type “cydiahacks.com/hide.html” into the address bar.
Look down the list of “Hide” programs available. Find the “Hide Clock” app, and tap it.
Click “Install” on the pop-up that appears. Don't panic when you receive a new pop-up that states, “Unable to Download Application.” This is perfectly normal. Click “Done” on this message.
Return to your Home Screen. Your Clock icon is replaced with a new one called “Clock Hide.” Touch and hold this icon until it wiggles, and tap the “X” to remove it.
Using this Hide app does not remove the original clock app from your iPhone. Once you reboot your phone, the original iPhone clock icon will reappear. To hide it again, you will need to revisit Cydia's site and download the app once more.
