How to Refresh Posts on Craigslist
By Tyson Cliffton
Craigslist is an ideal place to post help wanted ads for your small business, sell items your business no longer needs or buy items it does need. However, over time, your posts move down the list and can be more difficult for people to discover. You can refresh new posts within 48 hours of being posted or reposted to move them back to the top of the list and make them more discoverable. Additionally, after 30 days, all posts expire and are taken down. You can refresh these posts by reposting them and starting their life cycle on their respective list again.
Navigate to Craigslist (see link in Resources) in your Web browser and then sign in to your account.
Click "My Account."
Select the "Your Postings" tab, then click "All" to the right of Your Postings. Pages featuring all of the posts you've created on Craigslist appear on the bottom part of the Web page.
Navigate to the post you want to refresh and click "Repost" or "Renew." The information page for that specific posting appears. In this screen, you can change the post title, price, location and description. Click "Continue" after making any changes to the post's information, then click "Done with Images" when you're done adding and removing images that are relevant to your post. A preview page for the post appears.
Click "Continue." The post will successfully be refreshed and re-posted to Craigslist, and appears as Active on the Your Postings page.
Tips
If you don't have a Craigslist account, you can renew the post by clicking the link in the original confirmation email.
