Nook users can enable a pass code to prevent unwanted access to the device. If you forget your device pass code, you won’t be able to recover it. You can reset your pass code and create a new one by using your Barnes & Noble account credentials.
Disable Pass Code
Attempt to input your pass code three times. Once you have failed to unlock the Nook three times, you will be prompted to “Start Over” or “Disable pass code using account credentials.”
Tap “Disable pass code using account credentials” in the menu.
Enter your Barnes & Noble email address and password. Tap “Submit” to disable the pass-code protection.
Enable New Pass Code
Tap the Home button and select “Settings” from the icon menu. Tap “Device.”
Tap “Enable Pass Code” from the menu that appears.
Enter a unique alphanumeric pass code, then confirm it in the text-entry fields.
