How to Put a Twitter Button on YouTube
By Adrian Grahams
Placing a Twitter button on your business YouTube channel can promote your Twitter account to YouTube viewers and help to increase your number of Twitter followers. YouTube's integrated Twitter application also lets you share your YouTube activity on Twitter by automatically tweeting details of your video uploads, favorites, recommendations and comments. Adding a Twitter button to YouTube takes just a few steps to connect the accounts in the YouTube channel settings page and configuring your channel to display the Twitter button.
Log in to your account on YouTube. Click your YouTube username in the top menu bar. Select "Settings" in the context menu pane.
Click "Sharing" under Account Settings on the left.
Click the "Connect" button on the Twitter tab.
Type your Twitter login credentials in the boxes in the dialog box. Click "Authorize App" to connect your YouTube account to Twitter.
Click to enable the applicable check boxes in the Sharing Activity section to automatically tweet details of your YouTube activity on Twitter. Click the "Save" button.
Click your YouTube username in the top menu. Select "My Channel" from the context menu pane.
Click "Edit" in the About column on the right.
Type "Twitter" or your preferred text to accompany the Twitter button in the "Add a new link" field. Paste or type the URL address of your Twitter homepage -- usually "twitter.com/username" -- into the "Customized URL" field. Click the "Add" button.
Click "Apply" at the bottom of the pane. YouTube now displays a Twitter button and link to your Twitter homepage on your channel page.
Tips
You can also add Orkut or Facebook buttons to your YouTube channel in the Sharing section of the YouTube settings page.
