How to Print Legal-Size Paper on a Copier
By Daniel Hatter
At 8.5 by 14 inches, legal-size paper is 3 inches longer than standard paper, but most all-in-one printer/copiers are fully capable of printing legal-size paper. All that's required is a slight settings change in the Printing Preferences dialog box. Once the change is made, your copier will be ready to print legal-size documents. When you're done, you can change the paper size back to standard in the same way.
Open the Start screen and type "devices and printers." Select "Settings" and click "Devices and Printers."
Right-click your copier and select "Printing preferences" from the context menu. Open the "Page Layout" tab and click the drop-down menu next to Paper Size in the Layout section of the dialog box.
Mouse over "US-ANSI" and select "Legal 8 1/2 x 14 in" from the sub-menu. Click "Apply" and "OK" to save your settings.
Open the legal-size document you'd like to print and insert legal paper in your copier's paper tray. Print the document and then repeat the steps to return to standard sized paper for normal printing.
