How to Make Changes to Postings on Craigslist
By C. Taylor
Craigslist gives you a second chance to create the perfect ad by enabling you to edit posts after they've been published. The Edit option is readily apparent if you have a Craigslist account, but you can also edit posts created without an account. Accessing the Edit Posting screen enables you to change a published ad using the same interface you used when you first created the post.
Check your email for the confirmation message you received from Craigslist when you created the ad. If you cannot find this email, enter your email address in Craigslist's "Resend Craigslist Posting..." page (see Resources) to have it resent.
Click the link in the Craigslist email and select "Edit This Posting." Alternatively, click "Edit" from the listed posting in your Craigslist account.
Edit the title, description, category or images, as necessary. Editing follows the same procedure you used when creating the ad.
Review your post after making the necessary changes and click "Continue" to make the changes live.
Tips
Press "F5" or click the "Refresh" button in your browser to see changes on the published post.
