How to Enter Into Gateway BIOS

Entering into the BIOS on a Gateway computer can be accomplished during your machine's primary boot up sequence. The BIOS is available during this time, but the window during which you can access this critical program is very slim. Should you miss your opportunity, you must reboot your Gateway computer and try again until the BIOS setup utility successfully loads.

Press "Power" to turn on your Gateway computer. The "Power" button on a Gateway desktop is on the top of the main computer case. The "Power" button on a Gateway laptop is directly above the built-in keyboard.

Wait for the "Gateway" logo to appear on your computer screen. Once you press power, this logo should appear in one to two seconds.

Press the "F1" keyboard key. This will enter into your Gateway BIOS.
