How to Embed Podcasts in PowerPoint
By Ryan Menezes
Podcasts that you post on your company site contain useful content that you may want to share elsewhere. One way to broadcast them to other audiences is to embed them on slides in a PowerPoint presentation. The recorded podcast can replace alternative recorded narration or supplement your own oral narration. Podcasts often run for long lengths of time, perhaps as much as an hour, so you should configure PowerPoint to play only the most important part of the recording during a slideshow.
Click "Insert" in the PowerPoint ribbon.
Click "Audio" in the ribbon's Media group to open the Insert Audio dialog box.
Navigate to and select your podcast to add it to your slide. The choices are: "Audio from file," "Clip art Audio," and "Record Audio." Click "Audio from file."
Click the podcast icon on your slide to select it.
Click "Playback" in the ribbon.
Click "Trim Audio" in the Editing group to open the Trim Audio dialog box.
Drag the green marker on the dialog box's slider to select the start time for the podcast clip. Drag the red market to select the clip's end time.
Click "OK."
