How to Disable the QuickBooks Web Connector
By Melissa King
The QuickBooks Web Connector application enables Web-based programs to exchange information with your Intuit QuickBooks product. The Web Connector, by default, starts as soon as the computer boots up. This is usually a time-saving tool for business owners; but if you prefer, you can disable Web Connector to prevent it from starting at boot. If you do this, however, Intuit warns that certain Web Connector applications may become disabled.
Press "Windows-R" to launch the Run menu, then type "%AppData%" (without quotes) and press "Enter."
Double-click "Microsoft | Windows | Start Menu | Programs | Startup" to access the Startup folder. Alternatively, type the following line into the address bar: C:\Users\<User Profile folder name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Replace "User Profile folder name" with your own Windows profile username, then press "Enter" to go to the Startup folder.
Right-click on "QuickBooks Web Connector," then select "Delete."
Click "Delete Shortcut" at the Confirm Shortcut Delete prompt, then restart your computer to apply the change.
