How to Delete Incorrect Auto Correct Words on iPhone
By Brandy Alexander
When you type a word wrong and ignore the iPhone's suggestion for the correct spelling, the iPhone believes the misspelled term is the one you want to use and suggests the wrong spelling when you enter it correctly in the future. To remedy this, you can use the Settings feature on your iPhone to reset your dictionary, which deletes the incorrect auto-correct words.
Tap "Settings" on the home screen, tap "General" and then tap the "Reset" option. This action brings you to the "Reset" screen, which gives you the option to return features on your iPhone, including the dictionary, back to their original state.
Tap the "Reset Keyboard Dictionary" option and read the warning. Resetting your keyboard erases any previously entered custom words.
Tap the "Reset Dictionary" button. The misspelled word no longer appears as a suggestion when you type.
