How to Delete an Address From a Gmail Directory
By Stephen Lilley
Every time you send or receive an email from a new correspondent using Google's "Gmail" email client, Gmail automatically adds that person's email address to your "Contacts" directory. If you want to delete a specific address from this Gmail directory, you can do so right from your email account page. Access this page from any computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser.
Open your Web browser and log in to your Gmail account.
Click the "Contacts" link.
Check the box next to the email address you want to remove from your Gmail "Contacts" directory.
Click "More Actions."
Click "Delete Contact" to remove this address from your Gmail directory.
To delete multiple contact addresses at once, place marks in the check boxes next to multiple names, click "More Actions" and choose "Delete Contacts."
