How to Delete Addresses in an AOL Email Address Book

AOL Mail stores the email addresses of people you email in its address book by default. Although each original entry includes only the contact's email address and AOL screen name, you can add the contact's name, telephone number and alternate email addresses manually. If you want to remove an email address from your address book, delete the contact from the address book. In addition, you can prevent AOL Mail from saving addresses.
Visit the AOL Mail website and log in. Click "Contacts" in the list on the left side of the window to view your address book.
Scroll down and click the box beside each contact you want to delete. Type a contact name or email address in the "Find Contacts" search box to search for a specific contact, then click the box beside the contact's name.
Click "Delete" to delete the selected contacts and email addresses from your address book.
Tips
To prevent AOL Mail from saving addresses, click "Settings" within the mail window and select "Compose" in the left pane. Deselect the box beside "Automatically add email addresses to Contacts" under "Sending," then click "Save" to save your changes.
