How to Copy Followers on Twitter
By Melly Parker
If a similar company has a lot of followers on Twitter, copying them and encouraging them to follow you may help increase your visibility. Though you obviously can't force anyone to follow your business on Twitter, following a person and posting relevant content will help spark his interest in your tweets. The more you interact with your Twitter followers, the more likely they are to want to follow you.
Sign into your Twitter account.
Open the URL of the Twitter feed for the person whose followers you want to copy. Type www.twitter.com/Username into the browser bar, replacing Username with the Twitter handle of the person whose followers you want to copy.
Click "Followers" in the sidebar.
Click "Follow" next to every follower who you want to copy. He will receive a notification that you've followed him and you'll receive his tweets in your timeline.
Click "Home" to view your Twitter feed. Click "Reply" on a tweet that interests you.
Type a reply that will spark conversation and click "Tweet." It will post to your timeline and the person you tweeted at will be alerted that you replied. They may tweet you back or choose to follow you.
Tips
When posting content after copying a person's followers, try to target the same areas as the person you're newly following was originally following. He chose to follow the account because the content was interesting to him; if you post interesting content, he'll be more likely to follow you.
Warnings
There is no way to completely transfer one account's followers to another account. Users are able to choose which accounts they want to follow and cannot be added to an account without consent.
