PDF, or Portable Document Format, is a file format popular for document exchange. You can convert most file types to PDF, resulting in a more compatible file, which the most basic of preview applications can open without needing the original software. Using the Print function, you can convert Microsoft Project files to PDF format with a few clicks of your mouse.
Open Microsoft Project. Open the file you wish to convert to PDF format by selecting "Open" from the "File" menu. Navigate to the file, select it, and click on "OK."
Select the view format that you require for your PDF from the "View" menu. Make sure the chart is laid out across the pages in the format and size correctly.
Select "Print" from the "File" menu. Click on the "Name" list, and select "Adobe PDF." A new dialogue box opens. In the "Save PDF File As" dialogue box, select a name and a destination for your new PDF file. Click on "Save."
