How to Check Into an Event on Facebook

If you're attending a business event or meeting scheduled on Facebook, checking in lets everyone invited know you're actually there. As long as you replied "Going" or "Maybe" to an event scheduled on Facebook, you can check in within three hours of the event's start time. When you check into an event, you will be able to see the event's wall posts and content.

Click the "Events" link in the left side of Facebook and click the "Invites" button to view the events to which you have been invited.

Click the event and then click the "Join" button. Click the drop-down arrow and click "Going" or "Maybe."

Click the "Check In" button that appears on the event's page three hours before start time to automatically check into the event.


You can check into events using smartphones and tablets, but the process varies depending on the device's Facebook application.
