When synced with multiple accounts for business and personal purposes, the iPad’s default mail application gives you a very basic view of your Gmail inbox. You can see the messages you have received, and can write responses or new messages as needed. However, if you wish to see your drafts, sent mail or Gmail labels, you will need to swap the view from “Inboxes” to “Account.”

Open the Mail application by touching its icon on your iPhone home screen.

Tap your Gmail account name in the upper left-hand corner of the screen to exit the inbox view.

Scroll down to the “Accounts” section on the “Mailboxes” page.

Touch your Gmail account. Entering the Gmail inbox from “Accounts” instead of “Inboxes” gives you full access to your labels, trash, archived mail and drafts.
