How to Bypass a Brother "Replace Toner" Message
By Nathan McGinty
Printers aren't just for printing anymore. These days, printers not only print, but also scan, fax and can connect to the Internet. Brother manufactures a line of printers that fit just about every need of a small business. When the dreaded "Replace Toner" message starts flashing, the printer is indicating that is running low on toner. This message can quickly become irritating if you're trying to run a job on the printer. You can use the built-in toner resetting menu on the printer to bypass the "Replace Toner" message so you can get on with your business.
Power on the Brother printer.
Open the toner access door located at the front of the printer.
Press the "Clear/Back" button.
Scroll through the list of toner cartridges until you have located the one that is giving the "Replace Toner" message.
Press the "1" button to reset the toner cartridge display.
Press the "Clear/Back" button.
Close the printer door.
