How to Add to the Sounds Available in PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint provides a few stock sounds for you to add to your business presentations. These sounds include a recording of applause and the sound of a ringing phone. You can also add your own sounds, separate from the "clip art audio" that Microsoft has made available. For example, you can add clips of recorded narration to your slide. You can also add background music to help maintain the interest of the customers and clients watching your slide show.
Open your PowerPoint presentation and click the "Insert" tab on the ribbon.
Click the arrow below "Audio" in the ribbon's Media group to open a drop-down menu.
Click "Audio from file" to open the Insert Audio dialog box.
Navigate to and double-click an audio file to add its sound to your PowerPoint presentation.
