How to Add an Authorized User to a PayPal Debit Card
By Ashley Donohoe
The PayPal Debit MasterCard enables you to withdraw account funds from an ATM or use them for purchases online and in person. If you want to authorize an employee to make purchases and withdraw money, you can request a secondary card for him. The card gets associated with the billing address of the original cardholder, and you're liable for any charges the authorized user makes. After you request the card, it should arrive in two to four weeks and needs to get activated before use.
Sign into your PayPal account. Click the "Profile" menu and select "My Money."
Click the "Update" link beside the listing for your Paypal Debit MasterCard.
Click the "Request an Additional Card" link. Fill in the first and last name for the authorized user and then click the user agreement box.
Click "Submit" to submit the request.
Tips
After the additional card arrives, the user must activate it and create a PIN on the PayPal website or by phone.
Warnings
Before you can request a secondary card, you need to activate the original one.
