How to Add a Note to a PayPal Payment
By C. Taylor
PayPal enables you to send money to anyone with an email address or phone number. It enables business to easily pay employees, reimburse clients or purchase equipment. If the recipient doesn't have a PayPal account, he is provided a sign-up link to create one. Adding a note provides details about the payment to avoid confusion. At one time, PayPal included a Notes section in the initial payment page, but that option has since moved.
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click the "Send Money" tab and select the "Send Money Online" sub-tab.
Enter the recipient's email address or phone number in the "To" field.
Enter the dollar amount in the "Amount" field. If you need to pay in a different currency, select the appropriate option from the default "USD - U.S. Dollars" drop-down menu.
Select a payment type from the "Purchase" or "Personal" tabs at the bottom of the window and click "Continue."
Enter a detailed note in the bottom "Message" field and change the subject line, if you prefer.
Click "Send Money."
