How to Activate a Conference Call in Airtel
By Melissa King
When you run a business, it isn't always easy to have in-person meetings with your clients or employees. The Airtel wireless service, available in many Asian and African countries, enables you to have a conference call with up to six people at a time. This service works even for call-conference participants who have land-line phones. Airtel will bill you for the cost of all the calls, but the initial charge for starting a conference-call session depends on your specific service plan.
Disconnect any calls, then dial "118" to activate call waiting on your Airtel phone if you haven't already done so.
Make your first call, then press the "Flash" button to put the call on hold.
Dial the second number, then select "Conference" at the prompt to connect everyone together.
Repeat this process, if desired, to add up to three more people to the conference call.
Hang up to disconnect all of the calls when you finish talking.
Tips
Airtel doesn't charge you for using their call-waiting service.
