The Nook is an e-reader developed by Barnes & Noble, a bookstore chain in the United States. The newest incarnation of the Nook has a 3.5-inch color touchscreen and Wi-Fi. It also comes with 2GB of storage, an MP3 player and the ability to share e-books with others who have an e-reader, a smartphone or a computer. The account that allows you to purchase e-books and update your personal information is available on the Barnes & Noble website.
Accessing Your Nook Account with a Personal Computer
Open your Internet browser and go to barnesandnoble.com/nook.
Click on "My Account," which is located in the upper left corner of the screen. Type in the email address and password you used to create the account and click "Sign In." If you haven't created an account yet, you can do so by clicking on "Create an Account." You'll be taken to a new web page where you will have to enter your email address, your name, a password and a security question. Click "Create an Account & Continue" when you have finished.
Choose the section of your account you'd like to access. In "Account Settings" you can change your personal information, your email preferences and your addresses. In "Personalize" you can change your My B&N settings, your wishlists and your stores. In "Digital Management" you can access your Nook library, your Nook apps, your Nook wishlist and your subscriptions. In "Rental Management" you can rent, return or purchase a textbook.
Accessing Your Nook Account with Your Nook
Turn on your Nook and click "Web," which is located on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.
Go to barnesandnoble.com/nook and click on "My Account" in the upper right corner of the screen. Type in the email address and password you used to create the account. A keyboard will automatically display on your Nook to allow you to do this. Click "Sign In." You can create an account if you haven't already done so by following Step 2 in Section 1. Choose the section of your account you'd like to access.
Register your Nook if you haven't already so that you can purchase materials. To register, tap "Settings" on the Nook's menu bar at the bottom of the screen and then tap "Device."
