How to Access Lotus Emails in Gmail
By Nathan McGinty
As a business owner, you may have several email addresses that you need to access at the same time, depending on your business structure. Internal emails in your organization, for example, could be routed through a Lotus Notes server and collaboration platform. If you're using Gmail and want to start centralizing all of your disparate addresses, you can configure Gmail so that you can access Lotus Notes email through a Web browser.
Log in to your Gmail account, click the gear icon on the Gmail dashboard and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. Click the "Accounts and Import" tab.
Click the "Add another email address you own" link.
Type in the name and email address of the Lotus account you wish to access in Gmail. Click "Next step."
Click the "Send through Gmail" radio button. Click "Next step."
Click the "Send verification" button.
Check your Lotus notes email. Look for an email message from Gmail. Open the message and click on the link inside to verify your address. After a short wait, emails directed to your Lotus notes email box will be redirected to your Gmail account. You can also continue to check your Lotus Notes email from within the program.
Tips
You can also send emails from your Lotus Notes account through Gmail. Before replying, simply select the correct Lotus notes email address from the reply email drop-down list in Gmail.
