How Can I Change My Yahoo! Homepage Format & View?
By C. Taylor
Yahoo! allows you to change your viewing format between "compact" or "full," according to your preferences or monitor size. This is helpful, for example, if you have a wide-screen monitor and want to view more information width-wise, or if you have a narrower monitor and want to limit the screen real estate used. This feature is available whether you have a Yahoo! account or not.
Go to the Yahoo! home page.
Click "Page Options" at the top-right of the screen.
Click "Switch to compact view" to narrow the Yahoo! display, or "Switch to full view" to increase the display width. Only one option is available at a time, depending on your current settings.
Click a color square under the "Page Options'" "Select Color" section to change the color of the Yahoo! background.
Click "Move News on Top" from "Page Options" to move the news section to the top of the screen. Click "Move News Down" to place it lower on the screen.
