Amazon created the Kindle Personal Documents Service to convert several types of computer files, such as Microsoft Word and PDF documents, for use on the Kindle e-reader. This service enables business owners and employees to catch up on reports, memos and other business documents when they don't have access to a computer. Documents are converted by attaching them to an email message and sending them to your Kindle email address, which is assigned when you register your Kindle with Amazon.

Log in to your Amazon account, click "Your Account" and "Manage Your Kindle."

Click "Personal Document Settings" (on the left under "Your Kindle Account") and then click the "Add a new approved e-mail address" link. Enter the email address from which you're forwarding the email, and then click "Add Address." If the email address is already in the "Approved Personal Document E-mail List," you don't need to add it again.

Click "Manage Your Devices," and write down or copy the email address listed under "Send-to-Kindle E-mail Address."

Open the email with the personal document that you want to send to the Kindle and click "Forward." Type or paste the Kindle email address in the "To" field, and then click "Send."
