How to Fix an R6034 Runtime Error

by Rita Wood

A R6034 Runtime Error can cause problems in your computer, so it is important to remove it as soon as possible. This error normally comes from a corrupted windows registry. It is known to happen with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome. You also might receive this error when shutting down your computer. Using a good registry cleaner and a virus scanner will fix the R6034 runtime error.

1

Download virus scanning software. Many free versions are available on the Internet for immediate download (see Resources). After downloading the file, click on the installation link and follow the onscreen instructions to install it on your computer.

2

Download a registry cleaning software to scan the Windows Registry for errors (see Resources). Download the file, click on the installation link and follow the onscreen instructions to install it on your computer.

3

Click "Start," then click the arrow to the right of "Shutdown," then "Restart." When the computer is booting up and you see the hardware being listed, tap the "F8" key on the keyboard repeatedly until you see the Windows 7 Advanced Boot Options window. Select "Safe Mode" option using the arrow keys on your keyboard. Press "Enter" and it will boot into Safe Mode. Log on to your computer and you will be in Windows 7 Safe Mode.

4

Open the virus scanning software you downloaded and check for updates. Once it is finished updating, run a virus scan and let it fix any problems found.

5

Open the Registry cleaning software you download and let it scan your registry for errors. It will automatically fix any errors found.

6

Click "Start," then click the arrow to the right of "Shutdown." Select "Restart" to reboot your computer back to normal mode.
