by Charles Poole

Missing files on your computer can lead to a lot of problems. If you are missing different system files, your computer will not be able to start, run or shut down properly. Repairing your missing files is not a very hard task when you use your Windows 7 system-file checker. This program is designed to replace your missing files with the correct versions so you can have your computer working again.

Click the "Start" button and then go to "All Programs" from the menu provided.

Click on the "Accessories" tab on the far right-hand side of the menu and right click on the "Command Prompt" icon.

Choose "Run as administrator" from the menu and then enter your administrator password into the box.

Type "sfc /scannnow" into the command prompt and press the "Enter" key.

Wait for the program to scan your system and replace the files as needed.
