How to Fix a CTF Loader

The CTF loader monitors the active windows and supports text input for the handwriting and speech recognition, foreign languages and other alternative user input options in the Microsoft Office software. It runs as the "Ctfmon.exe" file in the background on the start up of the Windows operating system. The incorrect Microsoft Ofiice installation or upgrade can cause CTF loader to display an error message. The "ctfmon.exe" file must be added to the reporting exclusion list to fix the CTF loader error message problem.

Step 1

Click the "Start" button in the Windows and select the "Control Panel" option.

Step 2

Click on the "Performance and Maintenance" icon in the "Control Panel" window.

Step 3

Click on the "System" icon to open the "System Properties" window.

Step 4

Click the "Settings" button in the "Performance" text box under the "Advanced" tab.

Step 5

Click on the "Data Execution Prevention" tab in the "Performance Options" window.

Step 6

Select the "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except for those I select" radio button and click the "Add" button.

Step 7

Locate and click on the "ctfmon.exe" file in the "C:\WINDOWS\system32" directory.

Step 8

Click the "OK" button to add the CTF loader to the DEP exclusion list.

Click the "OK" button on all open dialog boxes to fix the CTF loader error message problem.
